비틀즈의 곡 Blackbird는 1968년 11월 22일에 발매하였으며, 감미로운 어쿠스틱 기타 소리가 환상적인 명곡이다. 현재까지도 많은 아티스트들이 그들의 곡을 커버하고 있으며 주제는 다름 아닌 '흑인 인권'이기에 사회적으로 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 비틀즈의 멤버 존 레논과 폴 매카트니가 작사/작곡에 참여하였다. 매카트니는 인도 여행 중 검은 새의 울음 소리를 듣고 미국 남부의 민권 운동이 떠오른 것에서 영감을 받았다고 한다.
